Job Description:

The CMM Operator will perform skilled labor tasks necessary through use of coordinate measuring machines for generating measurements and data for quality accuracy. This employee will be expected to understand, use and maintain quality checking equipment to perform assigned job duties.

Examples of work performed: (The following duties are typical for this position and these examples may not cover all the duties to be performed)

· Perform dimensional inspections using measuring tools such as, Touchpoint CMM, Romer Arm Laser Scanner, standard gauges, calipers and customer owned check fixtures to provide accurate quality data

· Interpret CMM results and generate standard reports for engineering teams

· Make use of PC-DMIS software to program CMM equipment and generate reports

· Demonstrate knowledge GD&T and quality measurement concepts such as PIST, CP, CPK, deviation and range

· Make use of existing programs to measure stamped parts

· Physically perform setups for CMM equipment to measure

· Perform tasks efficiently and communicate any non-conformances

· Learn from tradesmen through performing assigned duties

· Operate overhead cranes & Hi-Lo’s (with licenses)

· Maintain clean work area and positive work ethic

Basic Qualifications:

· Minimum 2-3 Years of prior CMM Operation experience

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

· Willingness/flexibility to work overtime as needed

· Willingness to coach others towards objectives/goals

· Ability to work in fast paced work environment

· Must follow company safety regulations and rules of employment

Employment Type: Hourly, Full-time (Monday – Friday, overtime expected when necessary)

• Note: Must work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Reports directly to CAD/CAM Manager for duties
• Answers to Shop Foreman for all else

Compensation: Starting $20/Hr.

(Note: compensation is determined by applicable experience)

Percent Travel: 0-5%
